Our van needs replacing because of costly repairs and new environmental regulations which would make it impossible to do our work unless we find a low-emission vehicle. We decided to take it even further and go zero-emission! By buying an electric van, we will be able to keep doing our beloved projects like Present A Home, Social Gardening etc. with our volunteers. Let's make the future of The Hague durable, together we build a green tomorrow! :)

Challenge

Since the start of our organisation in 2008, we have been using the same old diesel cargo van which has become quite costly. Due to new regulations, our van (that we use all day everyday) will soon be forbidden in the 'Low-Emission Zone' of The Hague. What is more: our office is situated in the middle of this environmental zone. We will have a big problem unless we find an alternative. We have chosen to upgrade our good old van after 13 years of duty to a zero-emission model: an electric one!

Long-Term Impact

Some of our volunteers got a second chance in life and are vulnerable themselves. Handing them the key to our van is a symbol of our faith and trust in them. To us, this van is so much more than just a key: we believe it is the key to a more inclusive, socially-aware and loving city. By going green and zero-emission, we hope to set an example for other organizations in The Hague. We harvest voluntary energy and use it for good, just like we hope to fuel our projects with sustainable electricity.
