This project provides 3-day training opportunity for women and younger generations to shape ideas into actionable project plans. Many areas in Japan still lack inclusive environment where women and younger generations can maximize their full potential. We can create new social values by turning such challenges into (social) business ideas. JSIE will provide inclusive working-together opportunity in rural areas in Japan with people of diverse background. Please join us to lead social innovation.
Challenge
Even though women social entrepreneurs play an important role in community building and economic activities, they systematically lack leadership in access to the social and capital resources that would allow them to grow their initiatives, build networks, and scale their impact. Japan is facing the structural and social challenges where the younger generation and women are given less opportunities and less encouraged to become leaders and to drive new social initiatives.
Long-Term Impact
This project will promote dialogue and discussion and will encourage participants to create synergistic effect for individuals and communities to carry out further dialogues and encourage spillover activities to have a flow on effect in surrounding communities and different regions. The ultimate long-term goal is to bring more women and younger leaders to transform the traditional culture that impede various initiatives. This workshop is application of our past WISE workshops.
