25 years later FMMLC continues educating, healing and feeding 400 children each year at the U.E. Jenaro Aguirre. Students receive 2 daily meals and participate in extracurricular activities: music, art, English, sports. We offer scholarship for our students to continue high school and in some cases college education. Our medical facility provides pediatric, general medicine, gynecology and odontology to our students, their families, and the community.

Challenge

Poor children in marginal areas have almost no access to high quality education and due to the fact that their family's income is very low, these children don't have access to daily balanced meals. The health system that they have available is deficient and post Covid pandemic has diminished it severely

Long-Term Impact

400 students will finish basic school and they are prepared to start high school and eventually they will go to the university. Higher educational levels give a person a lot of job opportunities. We have additional projects that we fund for our students to continue high school and university and do a close follow up on each student's achievements. This project will allow the accomplishment of 2030 Sustainable Development Goals #2, #3 and #4
