The Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC) is the world's largest civil society partnership advancing the cause of international justice. With member organizations in 150 countries, the Coalition is leading the global fight for a fair, effective, and independent Court and promoting broad accountability and redress for the victims of serious international crimes. To ensure broad participation, adequate translation and interpretation services are needed.
Challenge
To ensure Coalition member organizations are informed about developments at the International Criminal Court and opportunities for joint advocacy, adequate translation of updates and interpretation during meetings and exchanges with Court officials and government representatives are needed. Communications to member organizations, including to share updates and advocacy toolkits, and to foster consensus in joint advocacy initiatives also require translation.
Long-Term Impact
Ensuring diverse voices, particularly those from communities affected by serious international crimes within the International Criminal Court's mandate, are heard is key to the long-term sucess of moving the international justice system to deliver meaningful accountability for victims and survivors.
