There is no equality without reproductive justice which includes access to safe, comprehensive and integrated abortion information, education and services for girls and women. This project will connect to and compounds the positive impact of Safe Abortion, opening up conversations through fictional storylines where characters and presenters will speak to the deep challenges girls face in accessing safe abortion, and showing the power and possibility of girl-led change to combat abortion stigma.

Challenge

Abortion Stigma shames and silences women who seek abortions-plus their health-care providers and anyone associated with abortion-and it contributes greatly to the incidence of unsafe abortion. Abortion stigma violates women's basic freedoms and rights, including freedom from gender-based discrimination, freedom of thought and the right to the highest attainable standard of health. It impacts how abortion is regarded, legislated around and provided- or not provided. It affects health-care system

Long-Term Impact

In the medium to long term, the project will contribute to promote comprehensive understanding and sustainable strategies to end abortion stigma and building evidence-based, and what works to busting abortion stigma in addition providing trainings to providers and women on MA using COMBIPACKS to overcome the stigma surrounding abortion coupled with abortion's legal status. Girls and young women will be empowered to exercise their rights to bodily autonomy, advocating for themselves and others
