This project will promote better livelihoods for 1000 Children in 6 villages between the ages of 3- 10 . The program will build and promote 6 Community based centres In rural Western Zimbabwe.Children from underpriviledged families , will learn lifeskills ,basic literacy and numeracy skills as well as discipline centred sporting activities.we have 5 years working with children from poor families in our community due to age and disability. Our aim is to ensure they become better leaders.
Challenge
There are inadequate mentoring, schooling, and sporting resources. Children have therefore failed to make good choices as youths and adults. Early childhood marriages , unintended pregnancies, drugs, substance abuse and disease have destroyed lives of many young people. They fail to get decent employment due to lack of education and illiteracy.Economic migration to South Africa has resulted in xenophobic attacks as they are blamed for the high rate of crime in the neighbouring country.
Long-Term Impact
Children will be become more self conscious as they grow up . This will result in better living spaces. Tendency to turn into drugs and susbtance abuse will be eliminated. The teaching will result in them realising their rights hence there will be reduced abuse leadind to violence , early childhood marriages and unintended pregnancies. As they grow up a society of respectable responsible and literate adults be produced. This will result in a cohesive and safe community that is developed.
