COVID-19 is a worldwide threat killing tens of thousands of people and raising. While health care professionals make enormous efforts to treat the sick and ill, scientists work against the clock to find innovative treatments against the coronavirus and a vaccine to prevent future infections. Research investment is the most effective measure to fight the actual coronavirus pandemic and future ones. Your donation will provide immediate support to scientists searching for novel COVID-19 therapies.

Challenge

COVID-19 is produced by fast spreading coronavirus SARS-CoV-2. Scientists work hard to identify antiviral compounds, vaccination systems and diagnostic protocols. To reach those goals it is imperative we increase our knowledge about this coronavirus life, e.g. dissemination routes, way of infection or why elderly people is the most vulnerable population. Funding the joint effort of virologists, immunologists, epidemiologists, mathematicians, etc is urgently needed to find antiviral alternatives.

Long-Term Impact

This investment in research to design faster diagnostic methods or identify anti-coronavirus molecules, to investigate the best way to produce successful coronavirus vaccines or to determine the fastest and most efficient social way to stop SARS-CoV-2 dissemination, will have a significant impact at many levels: from improved scientific knowledge to huge economic return. Most importantly, it will have an enormous social impact by saving thousands of peoples lives.
