Greenhill Humane Society continues to expand its capacity for life-saving care for animals in need. We operate one of the largest animal shelters in Oregon and care for over 3,000 animals each year. Our life-saving rate is among the best in the U.S. Combining state-of-the-art care and rehabilitation with stress-free living spaces to meet the social, physical and mental needs of animals. We need your help to continue our work.
Challenge
This project addresses the need to provide better care for animals in crisis. Since 2019, we have been steadily improving the level of care that we can provide for animals in need. The first phase was combining our two aging facilities into one, expanded and remodeled facility. This phase is nearly complete, and now we need to continue to work on reducing stress at the shelter, implement advanced care, and improve access for those who need our services.
Long-Term Impact
This project is the largest in Greenhill Humane Society's history and is driven by the need to provide better behavioral and medical care for animals in crisis. Our goal is to help keep pets with their families by providing better access to veterinary care and pet care counseling, and to find new, loving homes for abandoned and surrendered animals. The new facility improves the lives of animals and impacts people who care about animals for generations to come.
