As the largest black rhino sanctuary in East and Central Africa and home to the world's last two northern white rhinos, Ol Pejeta is one of the most important wildlife conservancies in the world. We also provide a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees and livelihood support to our local communities. The constant threat from poachers combined with the devastating financial impact of COVID-19 means that we urgently need your support to keep our rangers on the ground and our rhino population safe.

Challenge

The COVID-19 pandemic poses major global challenges affecting people in all corners of the world. Ol Pejeta is no exception. Whilst tourism revenues represented the majority of our income in 2019, now much of our accommodation is vacant - our sustainable funding stream abruptly halted. With global travel restrictions still severely impacting international travel, we are tremendously concerned about our ability to sustain operations during the next 12 months.

Long-Term Impact

The COVID-19 Pandemic is by far the biggest threat Ol Pejeta has ever had to face. With our tourism revenues still severely compromised, your support is vital to sustain us during this pandemic. By contributing today, you will help keep our rangers on the ground, our wildlife and habitats safe, and our communities supported. Today, more than ever, we are dependent on donors like yourself to enable us to continue to provide the highest level of support for our endangered species.
