1 in 4 children in Kibera, Kenya do not complete primary school. We provide a smooth transition back to school for children who have dropped out.
Challenge
When Paul's mum fell sick, he dropped out of primary school to look after her and his younger siblings. A year passed and his dreams of becoming an engineer faded into the background. One in four children in Kibera drop out of primary school and do not complete their basic education. These young people join the already huge unskilled workforce competing for unreliable, low-paid work and the cycle of poverty continues. But Paul's story doesn't end there
Long-Term Impact
We further support children through secondary school or vocational training. We invest in each child's holistic development, looking to develop their talents and leadership potential, nurture their character and resilience and restore their hope for the future. Children who have come through this programme have completed primary school, progressed through secondary school and even university.
