This project will establish a purpose-built school building in a population of over 10,000 for the children of the less privileged people who have worked in brick kilns for a generation. Their children are currently reading in a rented, home-structured building for the last six years that lacks proper classrooms, washrooms, computer lab, library, and other modern-day facilities. This situation restricts the students from utilizing their capabilities creatively to get contemporary education.
Challenge
Approx 400 children are born to parents who have worked in brick kilns for generations, and some are daily wagers. Due to their poor socio-economic conditions, lack of awareness, the high inflation rate in the country, and low wages, they cannot provide their children with quality education. The current school building and physical structure they read in don't provide a conducive environment, and it cannot nurture them comprehensively. The building lacks basic facilities.
Long-Term Impact
This project will help to establish a well-developed purpose-based school for a lifetime which will attract and educate approximately 120 new children annually from Pre-Nursery to Matriculation (10 years education). It has been estimated that nearly 300 children will get quality education annually and will reach 500 eventually. This will help the community in breaking the circle of poverty through education
