There are 35 old age helpless people living at Manakamana Bridhashram, (Old Age Home), in Khandbari of Sankhuwasabha of eastern Nepal. In order to fulfill their basic needs they depend on the limited handful charity donation of the people visiting the temple . Sankhuwasabha Education Scholarship Foundation (SESF) has created this online fund raising project to distribute food materials and as well as monthly allowance for clothes, fruits, vegetables and other things to them.

Challenge

The 35 helpless elderly people from 55 to 91 years of age residing at Manakamana Bridhashram (Old Age Home) Khandbari are dependent on charity donation from the pilgrims for their food and other material of daily use. Sometimes very few people visit the temple. As a result the elderly pole are unable to collect sufficient food materials and live without food. They do not get any government support apart from $6.00 per month per person as pension. The amount is not sufficient for the

Long-Term Impact

The through this project the 35 old age helpless people living at Manakamana old age Home, Khandbari , Sankhuwasabha will be able to solve their basic needs. They will have enough food and vegetable to eat, clothe to wear and medicine to in case of illness and will be able to pass their final stage of comfortably. They will not have to die of hunger and without clothes and basic treatment
