This project will provide food items for 100 poor families in Anambra State. Food is one of the basic needs of a man, taken to provide energy, maintain life and stimulate growth. Unfortunately, Nigeria is known as the poverty capital of the world, with about 90 million of it's population living below poverty line. Having enough food to eat, will help these families to avoid many health problems and maintain a healthy life.

Challenge

About 40% (83 million) of the people who are living in Nigeria, are living in poverty and it is estimated that this will increase to 45% (90 million) in 2022, as the country is experiencing economic hardship leading to increase in food prices. This increase in food prices has made it very difficult for the poor families to feed, hence the need to provide them with food items.

Long-Term Impact

As food is one of the basic needs of a man, having enough to eat will surely protect the members of these families from starvation, thus help them to continue leading a healthy life.
