The Palliative care program aims to provide help for Ukrainian families with kids with terminal cancer, which is 50%. Precisely because of your amazing support, Tabletochki provides the following direct assistance to patients and their relatives: 1. Medical support: we buy medications and painkillers, special products for the bedridden patients care 2. Psychological and financial support to the children and their parents 3. Making children's most cherished wishes come true


Challenge

Children in Ukraine are directed to Palliative program after a long and unsuccessful treatment, which means that by this time their parents have been left without savings and are unable to buy even diapers. The lack of basic hygiene products makes the last days, weeks, months of a child's life uncomfortable and unpleasant. Families are unable to purchase medicines and painkillers, special products for the bedridden patients care, supplies for tracheostomy and gastrostomy, medical examinations.

Long-Term Impact

The aim of the Palliative care program is to provide care that improves the quality of life of terminally sick Ukrainian children and their families. Together with volunteers, Tabletochki child life team creates comfortable and age-specific conditions for children's in-hospital treatment, organize leisure and recreational activities. Illness should not take a happy childhood away.
