Narrow The Gap (NTG) addresses community needs through in Vietnam. In 2022, NTG aims to raise a minimum of 900.000.000 VND and distribute the grants to 8 Vietnamese grassroots nonprofits (NPOs), whose initiatives follow the SDGs: (3) Good Health and Well-being, (4) Quality Education, (6) Clean Water and Sanitation, (8) Decent Work and Economic Growth, (13) Climate Action.

Challenge

Grass-root nonprofits across Vietnam are most insightful in their community's needs; they work tirelessly to address the most pressing problems in their locality, but often they have inadequate capacities and resources to implement initiatives. Meanwhile the challenge appears to philanthropists lacking connection & network, and awareness of local nonprofits to give strategically and sustainably. Constrained resources make it almost impossible for locally led efforts to fill need in communities.

Long-Term Impact

Eventually, we desire to close the gap between donors, volunteers, and local nonprofits through cross-sector collaboration and strategic philanthropy as our approach. This program mobilizes available resources of finance, time, and skills from community members to strengthen and develop the community as a whole. All societies have their assets (money, skills, knowledge, networks, etc.). When these gather together, they build community power and voice.
