This project is to help 10,000 students in Amhara and Afar Region, who cannot continue their education due to war and drought, buy and give them educational materials such as notebooks, pens, pencils, bags etc. Due to the conflict in the regions Nearly 2.7 million children, nearly half girls, are out of school.


Challenge

More than 2.93 million children across Ethiopia remain out of school due to a combination of conflict and drought, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) disclosed on Friday. In the latest Ethiopia Situation Report, UNOCHA said 2.53 million children drop out of school due to conflict and 401,000 children are out of school because of drought. This project will educate 10,000 students who are out of school due to lack of educational materials and support!

Long-Term Impact

The project will educate 10,000 students to get educational supplementary materials and complete their class in the fiscal year and their families get relief this year and will help them in the future.
