The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a lack of access to food for people living with T1D. This has led to a significant increase in the risk of hypoglycemia and other complications. Many individuals are struggling to afford or obtain the necessary food and supplies to manage their condition. The pandemic has also disrupted supply chains and limited access to fresh and healthy food options. As a result, people living with T1D are facing significant challenges in maintaining their health and well-being during this difficult time.
