This project will be developed in the localities of Atzala, Chietla, Santa Cruz Cuautomatitla and San Antonio Alpanocan, which are located in the southwest region of the state of Puebla and which present great challenges in terms of violence and poverty, as well as problems associated with migration.In addition, the project's cross-cutting themes include addressing climate change from a vision of sustainability and community food security.


Challenge

The main problem we are tackling with this project is the lack of safe spaces in the 4 communities where we are working which allow us to reflect on the violent behaviours that have been transmitted from generation to generation and that generate social phenomena such as violence and segregation of girls and women, and that sustain macho behaviours.We believe that one way to break generational cycles of violence is through environmental awareness and the use of natural resources for self-suffici

Long-Term Impact

Women community educators trained in direct therapeutic care skills for the reduction of domestic violence in their communities. These women also develop leadership skills within their communities and 100 families strengthened in health care, nutrition, hygiene and adaptation to climate change.
