This project would impart computer literacy to children of juvenile homes from extremely poverty stricken background thereby providing vocational training and improving their employment potential.
Challenge
Juvenile homes in Mumbai house arguably the most disadvantaged children. Institutionalized for many months, they are often from highly poverty stricken families. Devoid of any family environment, the strategic needs of these children are that their vocational skills are built up and services to this end are delivered. This project would strive to impart computer literacy to 20 children every year.
Long-Term Impact
It will help the children be computer literate. Once the children have received this Government Recognized Computer Course Certificate, it will help them to find government jobs when they are of employable age.
