In Mexico PACO, I.A.P, works with children and adolescents in situations of social abandonment. Through our comprehensive care model, we seek to restore their human rights, through quality services that impact the physical, emotional and social well-being of our users. Our home program offers medical and emotional care, formal and informal education, training workshops in blacksmithing, bakery and carpentry, to equip children with tools that allow them to improve their living conditions.

Challenge

The problem of social abandonment is considered a form of violence against children and adolescents, it is a violation of the full exercise of their Human Rights derived from the omission of care directly or indirectly by their family, social and government environment. This constitutes a serious problem in our country that is reflected in the high rates of child violence, extreme poverty and marginalization.

Long-Term Impact

The stay of boys and adolescents in PACO IAP gives them the opportunity to break the cycles of violence from which they come. We provide them with the necessary tools to be able to have a better future with greater job opportunities and an independent life project.
