Last Sunday, January 30, 2020, a fire broke out in the community of Mirador de Corinto, Altos de Cazuca. Which is one of the informal settlements with a higher level of unsatisfied basic needs in the municipality of Soacha, bordering the capital of Colombia, Bogota. The fire grew quickly, affecting more than 36 people and devouring 12 houses. The aids received for the moment are some groceries and basic necessities short-term elements that fail to respond to the level of affectation of the case


Challenge

Long-Term Impact

This project has the potential not only to reverse the negative effects generated by the fire that seriously affected these families, but also to generate a transformational impact. This is because we will be able to build houses that will have better material and safety conditions than those in which the affected families were living before the conflagration.
