In harsh winter conditions, millions of Ukrainians are still under attack or have fled their homes, seeking safety across the border. GFC has disbursed over $1.9 million to support 60+ of local organizations helping children and youth survive conflict and crisis. Your support this holiday season means that GFC can provide critical support to our partners whenever it is necessary. In a crisis situation, young people don't have weeks or months to wait for food, shelter, and security.
Challenge
Winter has arrived in Ukraine, and families whose homes have been destroyed or who are fleeing to other parts of Ukraine and abroad will need access to safe, warm shelter, fuel, warm clothing, and food. Despite the billions of dollars pledged to help Ukrainians during this crisis, an alarmingly low percentage of that funding is reaching frontline community responders.
Long-Term Impact
Our community-based partners are requesting additional funding to support them. Astronomical energy costs are stretching our partners' budgets as they purchase generators and heating fuel for displaced families. Countless Ukrainian families are still without permanent shelter and adequate winter clothing. As they face these difficulties, their homes are still under attack. We want to deliver additional emergency grants quickly to our local partners. We need your help to make this happen.
