This project will provide free health support to adolescents and youth living in and around the Ayenya village in Ghana who are at risk of becoming victims of health challenges which includes teenage pregnancy, abortion, suicide, sexually transmitted infections, HIV/AID, and drug abuse.


Challenge

Ayenya community has been faced with adolescent health challenges, key among these challenges are high teenage pregnancy, abortion, sexually transmitted infections, and drug abuse. Within the past three years, the Ayenya community with a population less than a thousand has recorded some of the highest cases of teenage pregnancy, abortion, and sexually transmitted infections within the Shia Osudoku District in the Greater Accra Region of Ghana.

Long-Term Impact

The project will educate, support, and empower 100 adolescents and youth improving their physical, sexual, and mental well-being, which will provide them with a healthy lifestyle allowing them to rise out of poverty.
