This WFLF project helps to assure that an adequate supply of nutritional quality hay is always available to feed rescued at-risk horses and burros who have been victimized by starvation and other life threatening circumstances including roundups, slaughter, and disaster. WFLF is an all volunteer public benefit charity that relies 100% on donations to address these extremely dire humanitarian needs.

Challenge

The cost of providing nutritional quality hay for at-risk horses and burros is the highest ongoing expense for our charity rescue and protection program. Without adequate hay supplies, rescued at-risk horses with nowhere else to go could be turned away and possibly face imminent starvation or destruction.

Long-Term Impact

This project fills the urgent need to feed at-risk animals that would otherwise go without, and increases their opportunities for placement into new loving homes and improves capacity assurance which in turn reduces the suffering and improves the lives of countless horses and burros in need.
