The African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child," is how TGER works with communities to improve children's lives. The civil war, Ebola, and COVID devastated Liberia's children. There is a shortage of schools, skilled teachers, school equipment, and supplies. TGER provides school supplies and equipment, uniforms, food and clothing. We pay for school repairs and related infrastructure. Donating to TGER will enrich the students, parents and communities.

Challenge

Liberia's population is experiencing severe poverty. Parents cannot sustain their families; therefore, many children are forced to work. Many children manually break rocks into pebbles to sell. These children are not able to attend school. They need help, their parents need help, their communities need help. Raising funds during COVID has also been a challenge for TGER; our donors were adversely impacted by COVID. Please support us.

Long-Term Impact

TGER will continue to provide needed ongoing support as a tool to help uplift and empower the students, parents, and the community. Through TGER's support, school faculty is able to provide students with sound education that will propel them academically. TGER believes that the transformative years are important to build a child's self-confidence through quality education, be self-reliance, and become a responsible adult in the community. Please support TGER's cause.
