Cape CARES is committed to welcoming a diverse and inclusive volunteer brigade. We recognize that the costs of volunteering, while necessary to cover the expenses of our work in rural communities of Honduras, can be a financial hardship for qualified and competent volunteers. That is why we are introducing a financial assistance program that will support volunteers in participating in our brigades by awarding scholarships to cover all or a portion of the $900 trip fee.

Challenge

Cape CARES recognizes that volunteering abroad can be very expensive, creating barriers for individuals to provide essential care to our patients in Honduras. We also recognize that these financial barriers prevent some of the most SKILLFUL individuals from participating in Cape CARES clinic weeks! With your support, Cape CARES has developed a financial aid program for volunteers, creating a more equitable path for individuals from all socioeconomic backgrounds to join our teams.

Long-Term Impact

Cape CARES financial aid program will offer $900 in financial aid for every clinic week in 2022 and 2023. We are asking all volunteers and supporters to chip in $10-$50 towards our financial aid program (or more...no one's stopping you). Help our organization recruit the best talent and provide an equitable, diverse, and inclusive environment for all!
