Unexpected circumstance hit the world with the virus COVIOD-19. The lock -down in Los Cabo Mexico, being a touristic destination, has had devastating effects on each of our beneficiaries' families. Fathers and mothers are without income or their salaries have been greatly reduced. Already a vulnerable segment of society, our kid's have been put in worse conditions with more burden and misfortune adding even greater emotional uncertainty to the whole family.

Challenge

1.5 million Mexican children suffer from malnutrition and 2 million children under the age of five are anemic. An overwhelming percentage of children in the country are not provided with a healthy foundation from which to grow, succeed, and overcome poverty. Adding unfortunate times of the COVID-19 pandemic the problem has grow, poverty and the lack of food has increase.

Long-Term Impact

Since the start of COVID the lockdown in March, we expanded our feeding program to entire families- we have fed 180 families with an estimated 350 children. Until the COVID restrictions are lifted, our long-term effect is that these families will survive.
