This project will support orphanages and rehabilitation centers in Nnewi and it's environs with food items and other essential needs, in order to take good care of the children therein. HIV/AIDS pandemic, insurgency and COVID-19 has produced millions of orphans and vulnerable children in Nigeria, who are left to experience untold economic hardship, lack of love, withdrawal from school, poor health, poor nutrition etc. Without financial provisions, the future of these children is at stake.
Challenge
It is estimated that there are about 17.5 million orphans and vulnerable children in Nigeria. Children in the orphanages and rehabilitation centers, miss the love and care from their parents and rely on the support and food items from individuals and corporate organizations to keep living. They face a lot of challenges such as lack of access to quality education, poor nutrition, poor access to healthcare, inadequate clothing and lack of psychosocial support, hence the need to support them.
Long-Term Impact
These children will continue to feed properly and also have other essential needs that is required for them to continue enjoying life, just like their counterparts who are at home with their parents.
