300 poor children in Miche Bora school in Mombasa rely heavily upon the feeding programme provided by Mustard Seed Project. Last year, the charitable trust which was funding this essential project closed down. We have managed to raise some funds for the programme but more is needed.

Challenge

Our school is complete, we have committed teachers providing quality education achieving excellent results but this relies upon good nutrition. You cannot learn when your stomach is empty. Last year the Charitable Trust which was paying for half of the feeding programme closed down. Without the feeding programme a high proportion of our children would be close to starvation.

Long-Term Impact

Good nutrition and quality education will provide these children with the opportunity to access secondary and higher education enabling them to rise out of poverty and support themselves and their families.
