Since 2013, Emfasis Foundation supports systematically families living in extreme poverty. The Family Compass program aims to relief, empower and mobilise 6 of those families, in the region of Attica, Greece, through a partnership approach, where we tackle their greatest needs: food/nutrition, health issues, employment & family advisory. The families are mainly single-parent with minor children (some with disabilities) facing eviction & long term health challenges, without the ability to survive

Challenge

More and more families are on the verge of eviction from the accommodation in which they live. Some of the reasons behind this problematic situation include: - The unbearable cost of living, especially after the constant price increases in fuel, energy & food - the Covid19 pandemic which caused a deterioration in mental health and an increase in domestic violence, with implications in their psychosocial development and smooth social integration. - Lack of services & adequate housing programs

Long-Term Impact

With your contribution we'll manage to provide human living conditions to the supported families and offer them dignified solutions to their most urgent needs. Our teams will remain close to these families offering aid and guidance. This will be extremely beneficial for the needs, the health and the survival of the beneficiaries.
