EESI is a nonpartisan policy institution. It fills critical needs: turning complex concepts into accessible information, inviting decision-makers to ask questions, and finding solutions to climate change, an urgent threat. Help further equitable climate policy solutions that lead to economic, national security, public health, and environmental benefits. Give today so that the Congress--and the media--have access to compelling stories to move ahead on clean energy, climate, and resilience!
Challenge
The climate crisis is urgent. Scientists and other experts say we must act today to significantly cut greenhouse gas emissions to avoid catastrophic changes to the world around us. The solution is achievable. Energy efficiency, renewable energy, and resilient infrastructure can rapidly and substantially reduce greenhouse gas emissions. U.S. leadership is essential. As the leading global greenhouse gas emitter over the past century, the U.S. has a special responsibility to act on climate.
Long-Term Impact
EESI's role is critical-our respected briefings are attended by Congressional staff and media, we receive requests for assistance from rural co-ops, and media outlets continually engage with our resources. Our primary goal is to accelerate the transition to a new, low-emissions economy based on energy efficiency and renewable energy.
