Our mission is to deliver an excellent, transformative education to every child, so we can realize an India free of poverty, and filled with love. Your gift will enable Teach For India's 1,000 teachers to continue to dream bigger for their 32,000 students today, and unleash their fullest potential. Teach For India aims to transform the lives of 1 in 10 children in TFI regions by 2032.
Challenge
Post pandemic, the World Bank estimates that over 70% of Indian children are unable to attain minimum reading proficiency even by age 10. A generation of India's future citizens is at risk of growing up without access to excellent education and 21st-century skills. We have to #dreambigger for our children to solve this crisis.
Long-Term Impact
In the long-term, through our "multiplier effect", these leaders are infused at various levels of the system to attack the education crisis at scale; 70% of TFI alumni remain in the education sector after the programme. TFI is building 50,000 leaders (teachers, alumni, entrepreneurs, students) who will work collectively to transform the lives of 1 in 10 children from low-income communities in TFI regions by 2032.
