America Developing Smiles plans to provide nutritious food for 2,650 students and 180 teachers located across three schools managed by Asociacion Damas Salesianas in high need, underserved areas of Venezuela. Additionally, this project will provide these teachers with the means necessary for them to continue delivering academic guidance and education to their students.

Challenge

Currently, America Developing Smiles is working closely with Asociacion Damas Salesianas in Venezuela to provide needs to their communities in crisis. Many children assist school without having breakfast and some don't even have dinner. Malnutrition is affecting their ability to concentrate at school. These schools also have some cases of malnourished teachers. Teachers don't have the means to pay for their basic food needs. This is reflected in their work.

Long-Term Impact

The project will educate 2,650 students and provide them and their teachers with a nutritious meal allowing them to step out of malnutrition, concentrate in their work and stay healthy.
