Many children in the Bethlehem Refugee camps suffer from several different types of disabilities such as cerebral palsy, autism, west syndrome, down syndrome, speech disability, learning difficulties, and many more. There is a lack of support for them and their families in our area, so we are providing services to rehabilitate and improve their way of living and to achieve self-sufficiency. Ultimately, we want to draw a smile on their faces and boost their confidence for future hopes and dreams.
Challenge
750 families in Bethlehem are raising children with disabilities without finding the proper support that they need. Many families of disabled children in our community are unable to pay for these services. This creates an issue for us to become sustainable and fund a way for these services. Our community also faces a social challenge of acceptance for children with disabilities. Some families are hesitant to welcome the special needs and often delay or ignore treatment for their children.
Long-Term Impact
Noor project will support 750 disabled household in Bethlehem allowing them to find equality and decent life, which will provide for them and their families' all health services and well-being.
