The Leadership Initiative's International Business Internship Program (IBIP) is designed to allow high school students to engage with small businesses in Nigeria, while at the same time providing valuable tutoring and experience to prepare them for college. Leadership Initiatives accomplishes this by matching each IBAP participant up with local business leaders in Northern Nigeria and equipping them with the tools necessary to change lives.
Challenge
Leadership Initiatives business leaders often run into new and unforeseen problems when trying to grow and develop their businesses. Often, they lack the technical knowledge to come up with innovative solutions to these problems.
Long-Term Impact
Through matching IBIP participants with business leaders, the IBIP participants will gain critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as experience that will set them apart in the college admissions process.
