Challenge
Russian aggression in Ukraine caused 6.5 million Ukrainians to become internally displaced persons, and 3.2 million have gone abroad due to a full-scale Russian invasion. Many of them have nowhere to go back. With the approach of winter and continued hostilities, many people need a safe place to live, even if it is temporary.
Long-Term Impact
When military aggression against Ukraine continues, it is crucial to motivate people to stay in the country, start a new life, pay taxes and support the economy. Almost 500 people stayed with us for several weeks or months, and already 400+ of them have started their new lives. Some people don't want to leave Ukraine but must stay further from the hostilities to protect themselves and their children. And we want to help more people.
