We are building and installing handwashing stations as well as training others as well as educating the people on COVID 19 and the importance of handwashing throughout Uganda. We have also created a tutorial program to help the children continue their studies while the schools are closed. And our newest project is helping the elderly by providing food/medical care/basic service around their farms and home.

Challenge

Many people are effective by food insecurity/lack of education and lack of personal assistance. We work in a very remote part of Uganda where help is hard to come by for the local people. With the schools closed and the local markets are not available, we are trying to reach as many people as possible, especially the young and elderly. Hygiene is a very difficult habit to maintain without clean and available water sources.

Long-Term Impact

Education is vital in these communities and hygiene education is so important for health. It is a great prevention of most common maladies and is extremely vital during COVID19. Education the children of the village will help them maintain their studies and they will not be left behind when the schools reopen.
