This project will empower 150 young girls who have dropped out of school due to transport issues, by providing them cycles to travel to school. Young girls often drop out of school because they don't have any access to travel long distances and parents are not supportive to let girls continue their education. Through this project awareness sessions will be conducted with the parents of these girls to motivate them to support their girls and provide cycles to these girls to continue going school.

Challenge

The girls in rural areas of District Toba Tek Singh often drop out of schools because they do not have any mode of transport as most of the high schools are far away for girls. The families also do not approve of girls education as they feel that girls will get married and look after families so education is not important for them so they drop out sooner than the boys. So there is a need of parents counseling as well as providing a mode of transport for school-going girls.

Long-Term Impact

1. 150 school going girls will be able to continue their education. 2. The parents of these girls will support girls education. 3. The drop out rate of rural school going girls will reduce. 4. The project will promote gender equality and quality education for girls. 5. Easy access for girls to education with no transport hurdles.
