We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live productive lives with dignity and self-fulfillment. Your donation gives back freedom of movement and self-confidence to 50 Rwandans with mobility disabilities. This project is the initiative of Rwandan Youth Development and Voluntary organization (RWAYDAVO) to provide 50 appropriate wheelchairs annually in Rwanda through the Wheelchair Fund initiative. We have a 20 individuals with disabilities who urgently need wheelchairs.

Challenge

According to the recent National Census, among those aged over 5 years, there were almost 450,000 persons with disabilities in Rwanda, which corresponds to approximately 5 percent of the total population above the age of 5 however significant underestimates remain a challenge. Those with Physical disabilities, they are unable to afford Wheelchair due to extreme poverty and your support is an impetus for transformation in their lives. Give the best valuable gift of all, the Gift of Movement.

Long-Term Impact

50 people with physical disabilities will be able to have mobility with dignity. Your donations helps Motivation continue to give back freedom of movement and hope in a life of achievements to 50 persons with mobility disabilities in Rwanda. In the absence of a proper wheelchair, these 50 persons will remain isolated or, by using an improperly prescribed wheelchair, they risk to develop pressure sores or spinal deformities that can threaten their lives further.
