Due to the current global situation with the pandemic (COVID19) along with the poor conditions in which many Venezuelans live in, the increase in the vulnerability of children and adolescents with disabilities, results in less access to an educational environment, games, and recreation. To combat these negative effects, Hogar Bambi Venezuela promotes the Sports and Recreation Project for Children and Adolescents Deprived of a Family.

Challenge

With the current situation in Venezuela, there is an increase in the number of children and adolescents with more deprivation, hunger, mistreatment, abuse, and isolation. In many cases, children are victims of labor exploitation, experiencing situations of helplessness and abandonment by their parents and relatives, without the possibility of accessing an educational environment, games, and recreation.

Long-Term Impact

This initiative is of great value in restoring the ability to rest, recreation, sports, and games for these Venezuelan children and adolescents. This allows for the contribution to their integral development, which strengthens the values of solidarity, tolerance, cultural identity, and conservation of the environment.
