Providing HIV information to youth living in Majengo slums through a series of sports activies, drama plays and videos.

Challenge

As a result of poverty in Majengo slums, the youth indulge in behaviours that put them at a high risk of contracting HIV.More than 2500 youths have died in majengo since 1980 as a result of illness associated with HIV.Most of the youth especially girls have died as a result of getting infected through prostitution.Through the HIV awareness program , we are reaching more than 500 youth in schools and community centers in Majengo slums and its outskirts in Nairobi

Long-Term Impact

Through the HIV prevention project, youth in Nairobi will be educated on HIV facts and preventive measures hence make informed choices concerning their sexuality. This consequently reduces the alarming HIV rates in Majengo slums and its out skirts
