Education is one of the effective ways to get out of poverty. Thus, due to family or social issues, many vulnerable youths who are willing to pursuing higher education have lost their chances. This project assists vulnerable students in Cambodia, India, Nepal, and Malaysia to continue their studies in higher education (collegiate institutions) to obtain academic qualifications and certificates, so as to increase the advantages of vulnerable young people and eliminate poverty in the future.
Challenge
Education is one of the effective ways to get rid of poverty; yet for many children in Cambodia, India, Nepal, and Malaysia, they can't go to school because they need work to help with the family's finance. Once they have the chance to pursue higher education, the tuition, the expense of accommodation, meals, books, and supplies will become great financial burdens to them. It would push them to give up the chances for higher education...
Long-Term Impact
This fund is used for higher education tuition, living expenses, license fees, etc. for disadvantaged youths. Helping them continue to complete higher education, so they would obtain decent jobs in the future in order to turn their future and family finance into positive situations. Nonetheless, in Asia, girls' right to education is easily sacrificed due to insufficient money. A total of 30 youths are benefited, among them, we expect more female youths can have higher education opportunities.
