Challenge

There are over 20,000 slum dwellers in katanga slum with more than 50% being children, most of which are primary school drop out. Some children are born with HIV, others abandoned by their fathers and the others are completely orphans.at an early stage the children are exposed to everyday drug abuse, alcohol, and the resident being a hideout for criminal, This project will benefit more than 100 children , they will all be attending boarding school for maximum concentration in their studies.

Long-Term Impact

The project will educate 139 children from most vulnerable families allowing them to have a descent life, which will enable them to relocate their families to better places, It will improve on the performance of the poor children in the Uganda national examination board. it will as well help minimize on the crime rate that happens on the everyday today in the slum
