Educar y Crecer will strengthen the education of 500 children from vulnerable contexts in Argentina in its 10 Student Learning Centers. To ensure that no one is left behind, through innovative and effective educational programs EyC will improve the performance of students in the areas of Reading and Writing and Maths; while also providing them with XXI century skills, necessary to achieve inclusion in the modern labor market.
Challenge
While half of Argentinian children are living under the poverty line, access to education is in decline: 1 out of 4 students interrupted their schooling in 2020. The quality of education is also problematic: EyC's standardized evaluations confirm that 83% of students presented profound learning deficits in reading and writing and math in March 2021. This project will bring quality educational opportunities to +500 children who live in vulnerable areas in Argentina.
Long-Term Impact
The project will enhance learning of +500 children from vulnerable areas in Argentina. Improved learning will enhance schooling trajectory, preventing dropouts that result from school promotion without educational achievements. Graduates from EyC's programs will also enhance emotional, social and technological abilities, necessary to develop in the 21 century labor market. Opportunities granted have the potential to allow them to rise from poverty.
