COVID-19 is threatening vulnerable families everywhere in in Andhra Pradesh, India. These communities who are already maximizing their limited resources are now at risk of starvation, as well as being at high risk for contracting Covid 19. BASS India is providing urgent essential food and sanitary kits to the vulnerable families and sensitizing and educating on prevention of Corona virus in in Guntur and Prakasham Districts of Andhra Pradesh.

Challenge

Covid 19 is rapidly affecting in India as third Place in the world with 14,40,371 (+) and 32866 deaths Registered currently. One Lack covid +ve cases crossed already in Andhra Pradesh. Again Lockdown is implementing, no works and at high risk of starvation and possible affect of corona virus everywhere in rural and urban areas. Covid Positives patients and suspected are in depression due to insufficient immunity boost diet supplements for quick recovery in isolation and quarantine centre

Long-Term Impact

Educate, sensitize on Corona Virus with prevention methods and distribute urgent timely essential food needs and sanitary kits to 10000 families. 5 people from project team be trained on facilitation skills to educate more number of people in project locations. Initiate family based income generation programs locally without depend up on others. Strengthen vulnerable families to protect from covid 19 and connect with government and other like minded organisations for continued support.
