The Hope School In Santa Luzia do Itanhy, Brazil, provides an immersive art and technology-centered education to children starting from daycare and extending through to 5th grade. These children come from extremely vulnerable environments where the average income per person is under $30.00 USD per month. While we have raised 83% of our goal, we need your help to ensure that the project is finished and that the children can receive the education they deserve.

Challenge

Located in one of the most underprivileged communities in Brazil, the school is heavily relied upon to provide quality education and opportunities to this community. The school is currently having to use the intended library and lab as a classroom to accommodate the students. We hope to build 4 more classrooms to help the school reach its full potential.

Long-Term Impact

IPTI believes that the most effective solution to overcome social inequality in Brazil is empowering communities to improve their education systems. We work towards this goal through the implementation of social technologies that integrate education, health, and skill-building courses for young students in the art and technology fields.
