This project will support 100 school going children who have been forced to drop out of school because their parents or guardians have lost their sources of income due to Covid-19 . The project will provide school fees, school uniform, books and free meals to help them stay in school.

Challenge

Covid-19 has negatively impacted the lives over 500,000 school going children in Kenya. This is because of the fact that most of their parents and guardians have lost their sources income hence they cannot afford to take them to school after the pandemic. Some schools have also been forced to close completely because they cannot maintain the cost of running after Covid-19. This situation has left many school going children desperate.

Long-Term Impact

The project will partner with 150 parents and guardians to equip them with economic empowerment skills. The skills will help them start a business or secure a sustainable source of employment in order for them to continue supporting their children through school.
