For persons recovering from or learning to live with illness, injury and disability, Spaulding delivers compassionate health care through comprehensive rehabilitation designed for each patient and their families. Whether experiencing a sports-related injury, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, or other condition that impacts quality of life, we are there. Innovative research and teams of interdisciplinary care providers help every patient find their strength.
Challenge
Our patients, who come from greater Boston, New England, the US and around the world, look to us for high quality care following spinal cord injury, brain injury, stroke, amputation, and many other disabling conditions. They wrestle with the medical, physical, cognitive, behavioral, social, and emotional consequences of severe injury or chronic illness and disability. Spaulding's unique approach to therapy focuses on helping each patient develop skills they need to recover and live fully.
Long-Term Impact
Our goal is to ensure patients can thrive outside the hospital, and be restored to active and empowered members of their families and communities. The strength to innovate permeates the Spaulding Rehabilitation Network. Novel research approaches and ground breaking technology, along with access to program and services such as adaptive sports and employment training, provide patients and families unparalleled access to the most advanced rehabilitation medicine and the promise of a full life.
