This is an annual fundraiser for our emergency burn unit for children in Uganda within our Whisper's Magical Children's Hospital.

Challenge

Many children with burns die in Ugandan hospitals. By local standards, burns are one of the more expensive conditions to treat because of the need to replace dressings frequently. Many hospitals are unable to provide the full medical and nursing support that the patient actually needs. Many parents have come to Whisper from other hospitals where they were told their child was unlikely to survive, but Whisper was able to treat them.

Long-Term Impact

This funding will sustain the run of the burn unit for about 18 months, and marks Whisper's hospital as one of the only places to take children with burns.
