According to UNHCR, more than 3,2 million people (1,5 million children) have fled Ukraine. In the biggest cities and in the small villages there is a lack of food products, medicines and other hygiene products.

Challenge

The people of Ukraine now urgently need our support. And they need this help quickly!" appeals Michael Landau, President of Caritas Austria and Caritas Europa, urgently.

Long-Term Impact

Caritas has been working on the ground for almost 30 years. Currently, more then 1,000 Caritas employees support vulnerable groups in Ukraine - in the east of the country as well as in all other parts of the country and in the neighbouring countries. Probably no other Austrian aid organization is as present in Ukraine as Caritas. As a result, some 800,000 people have been reached since the outbreak of the crisis in 2014 and our help is getting through. And it is urgently needed right now!
